Nominator's project description
| Prof. Ran Nathan (Hebrew University of Jerusalem) has, in just a few years, become an internationally recognized leader in the field of dispersal ecology. His innovative and original approaches in the novel, interdisciplinary field of ''Movement Ecology" lead to new insights about the factors controlling the distribution and diversity of organisms on earth. In his planned research in Germany Prof. Ran Nathan, together with Prof. Florian Jeltsch (Univ. of Potsdam) and Prof. Katrin Böhning-Gaese (Univ. of Mainz), will model and analyse multiple-vector dipersal systems in dynamic and heterogeneous landscapes. |
